Biomimicry is an approach to innovation that seeks sustainable solutions to human challenges by emulating nature’s time-tested designs and strategies. Our speakers are leaders in the application of biomimcry to idea formation, product development, systems thinking and real-world applications to solving climate change challenges.

Speakers

Beth Rattner, Exective Director, Biomimicry Institute (Bio)

Beth Rattner has focused on nature-inspired environmentally-beneficial design and disruptive ideas since 2001. In her talk, Rattner will address the current environmental context for biomimcry, recent trends and applications of biomimetic design, opportunities and challenges related to climate change, and exciting catalysts for innovation and entrepreneurship.


Mikhail Davis, Director of Restorative Enterprise, Interface (Bio)

Mikhail Davis has 20 years of experience in corporate sustainability. He currently works on Interface's groundbreaking and disruptive Climate Take Back initiative which is focused on transforming the industrial system to leave a positive legacy and reverse global warming. Davis will address how Interface, a multi-national corporation and biomimcry leader, is approaching the application of biomimetic design to products and systems to meet the challenges of climate change head on.
